But....
Did you catch the hint that they're running an Unix-descended OS? ...it's pretty well hidden.
The only hint I saw was that the time system was based on number of seconds from a base time that was almost, but not quite, the same as the first lunar landing. 1/1/1970, anyone? Do you mean the reference to layer upon layer of cruft and dependencies, or the time in seconds thing? (It wasn't that well hidden IMO). -- -- http://www.apa.org/journals/psp/psp7761121.html It is one of the essential features of such incompetence that the person so afflicted is incapable of knowing that he is incompetent. To have such knowledge would already be to remedy a good portion of the offense.
