Has nobody else heard on NPR's Weekend Edition that the FBI has requested the banning of non-Clipper encryption ? Or was I really not quite awake and recalling a bad dream ?

I taped it, listened twice -- heard the opposite: that the FBI has no plans at present to ban other encryption. I can listen again, if you're dubious.
