I believe this was a major quantum leap in the history of human thought and concioussness. A giant step in the right direction of our true divinity but it was sorely flawed; By the concept of property rights. This is where the founding fathers eogos got in the way.
The liberation movements of the last century have been based on the same concept of unalienable rights and have attempted to fine tune the document for a more equitable distribution of planet power to correct the flaw.
<sigh> There is a fundamental fact of politics/economics that a socialist economy and a democratic political structure can not co-exsist.
The concept of property rights is not a flaw but the foundation on which the constitution and this country is built on. Without the ability to controll ones own property all other rights fall by the wayside.
I sugest reading "The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith for a better understanding of Capitalism and why it is the *only* economic model that works for a free society.
Even better, "The Road to Surfdom," F.A. Hayek, totally debunks the basis of a planned economy and how the loss of property ownership and economic freedom leads directly and inevitably to totalitarianism. --Steve PGP mail preferred Fingerprint: FE 90 1A 95 9D EA 8D 61 81 2E CC A9 A4 4A FB A9 Key available on BAL server, http://www-swiss.ai.mit.edu/~bal/pks-toplev.html --------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Schear | tel: (702) 658-2654 CEO | fax: (702) 658-2673 First ECache Corporation | 7075 West Gowan Road | Suite 2148 | Las Vegas, NV 89129 | Internet: azur@netcom.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- I know not what instruments others may use, but as for me, give me Ecache or give me debt.
