For the bourgeois press, this was a sudden descent into collective madness. "Argentina collapses into chaos" was a typical headline. Chaos there is. It is the chaos of the capitalist system, of the so-called market economy that was supposed to have solved all the problems of Argentina, under the benevolent auspices of the IMF and the World Bank.
