Except that Asymmetric was claiming that one could simply set the SMTP server to one that you believe not to do logging (and implicitly, something that does open relaying) and then just change your "From" header. Forging the source IP address works, but it's outside the scope of Asymmetric's suggestion, which is what I was responding to.
