The Taliban is not the Soviet Union. They are roughly on par with a Somali clan. I predict casualties somewhat higher than Somalia, but not much higher.
predict casualties significantly higher then vietnam and expect to run for the hills much like america did in vietnam. afganistan was a nightmare for the soviets during their occupation and the exact same will apply to any american action there.
