You may recall recent comments by Attorney General Janet Reno where she notes that exportable encryption cannot be broken in reasonable time by modern supercomputers.
Freeh stressed the same point on Thursday. This info was on a sheet of paper that looked like a DoJ form, though I couldn't get close enough to read it. -Declan
