CA fingerprinting welfare applicants?

Has California has recently begun fingerprinting welfare applicants to help detect attempts at welfare cheating? I saw the tail-end of a news clip about this on Headline News a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't catch the whole report. Jim_Miller@suite.com
