As soon as the CPU starts talking to a video and sound board, this whole thing becomes easily breakable. All one needs to do is to capture the signals that go to these boards and re-record them.

I suspect that this part is the key, what they will propose is some mechanism to alter the chipsets from the one currently implimented. Expect them to impliment something similar to the DAT tape systems where the machine won't execute a copy function if it sees the correct signal.
