Interpretive Summary From PC Week: "Security Chip, interface aim to assist Electronic Commerce" AT&T IVES (Information Vending Encryption System) chip will encrypt data, video on demand, banking, etc. The IVES chip will be use in AT&T cable-TV-boxes this year. It is available to OEM's for Internet data security applications. IVES uses algorithms licensed from RSA.
