OHIO TOWN REQUIRES TRICK-OR-TREATERS TO BE LICENSED

BRIDGEPORT, Ohio (CNN) -- The Bridgeport City Council, fearing too many out-of-town children would descend on the community for Halloween, is requiring trick-or-treaters to have a license to ask for candy this year.
Kids age 14 and under who register with the city will be given an orange sticker to wear in order to receive goodies. Bridgeport has also moved Halloween celebrations from Friday to Thursday to avoid busy Friday night traffic.
While Police Chief William Fraser is going along with the sticker plan, he and his officers won't be out looking for unlicensed goblins. After all, there won't be a penalty for not having a sticker.
