According to the Russian newspaper Izvestia, Mr. Dudayev died while phoning an aide to King Hassan II of Morocco, who had been asked by President Yeltsin to help mediate an end to the war. Will any leader ever again be so gullible?
According to some Usenet articles I saw, Dudaev died while talking on the phone with the Russian Duma deputy Konstantin Borovoy. I think I used to exchange a few e-mails with Konstantin before he became filthy rich. It's a small world. --- Dr. Dimitri Vulis Brighton Beach Boardwalk BBS, Forest Hills, N.Y.: +1-718-261-2013, 14.4Kbps
