Bill _did_ get elected, notwithstanding the mistresses, the inhalations, the connected-lawyer-wife. WE may _talk_ more about our scnadals, but does it influence outcomes? Gary Hart didn't get kicked off the train for boffing a bimbo. He got the boot for being an asshole about it. Is it so much to ask "the best and brightest" - to run their indiscretions discretely?
