[1]http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/features/secret-agent-man-198601 16 Okay, I'll give you an answer: The CIA is set up so that it's impossible for a person as an individual to arrogate to himself the right to lie to a congressional committee or to anyone else. But what he can or cannot say is clearly specified from the day he is sworn in. He can lie to people who are not his bosses, who do not have security clearances. Most congressmen do not have security clearances. When Senator Frank Church asked me something, and he said, "Will you take an oath," I said, "Senator, I'll take the oath, and I wouldn't think of telling you the truth." Personally, I like Colby very much. He's a very fine man, but he's just the wrong kind of guy to be head of the CIA. He's a good guy. For unknown reasons, this has been totally forgotten. Fortunately we rely on Snowden to remember for us, and he says he revealed the truth for the first time ever. The news media backs him up on this. And Applebaum kept his high salary mainly because he was good with the media (or the media was good with him?). But hey, I wrote something about the Pike Committee vacuuming up information. Waiting for Best to come out with some bland matter of fact article about historical government lies to the public, that'd make your brain lame. The interesting thing about Miles Copeland is that he does provide the unvarnished horrible truth of how some things work, as far as I can tell based on what little information is publicly available. If you read Miles Copeland's interview, you can understand how Snowden the movie can be a recruitment video for some, and a video to accept the current regime for most. [2]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog-whistle_politics (oddly Oliver Stone's trilogy on Presidents were good and honest) There is no good answers to anything, it's all horrible, no one is doing anything. I point things out, nothing is really done, I point things out in greater specificity months later, some indications of something being done begins to be shown.... It's not an OODA loop if your brain is off. It's just A. Maybe no one asks me anything because they are afraid of the answers, not from what influence I would have (which is a non-problem since we got here by consensus, what could one person even do with diffuse authority?). Unless there is a critical point of information by which I could begin pointing out what is going on?
