The government asked a Texas federal judge to wave away protests by Exxon
Mobil Corp. to keep its documents sealed in a case over $1.8 billion in
contested tax benefits for a joint venture with Qatar, saying Thursday that
the energy giant threatens unnecessary disputes at trial.
